update: It is now April 2009. When I started the blog back in October 2006, it was really a lazy way to get the family pictures and now, 2.5yrs later, I never envisioned I would be here – as widow without the love of my life, Lisa – who died so suddenly from a brain aneurysm that we knew nothing about at the age of 39 on 2/19/07. The kids were all so little then. Michael now 19 is in 24/7 supervised adult care because of his mental retardation, severe attachment disorder and fetal alcohol effect. Danielle is now 15.5 almost ready for her driver’s permit, David is almost 14 and much much taller than I am, and Katie at just 12 also is taller than I and about to enter a performing arts middle school. I get up each day thankful for Lisa and my 18 years together, all the amazing memories and the children we raised together. I also never forget who Lisa was and miss her and grieve still to this day.
