The Langbehn-Pond Family ~ the accidental activists

In today’s mail was another letter from Jerry, it was very touching – here it is.

Dearest Janice,
Just received your letter and did not want to wait to answer. I am doing fine. all is going extremely well. Still in physical therapy and it is getting easier every day. I pray each day for strength, and in gods’ time I will be back to my old self again.

Thanks to Gods will, I have not had any rejection, and all the tests are good/negative. I could not be better thanks to Lisa’s generosity. Lisa had to be one of gods’ children being so generous to others. I hope to meet you all soon so we can get to know one another.

It is wonderful to be able to play and get after our 6 grandchildren, ages 3-12. Trace 3, Tyson 4, Trinity 6, Chloe 4, Chandler 7, and Christian 12. We are going to attend a dinner theater and see Wizard of Oz on July 5th and we are really looking forward to that. I applied for the transplant program to be able to see our grandchildren grow and eventually get married, something I will not miss now and hopefully se some of their children.

Please hug and kiss the children for us as we consider you all family. We have you in our prayers daily and pray you are as blessed as we have been. I would love to share pictures and memories with you and getting to know Lisa.

We are truly blessed to have Lisa, you and your family in our lives.

The NCL’s private island is a 1000x better than Disneys.. it was amazing. Kid’s snorkled and floated. Katie played with Chelsea O finally for several hours

And then David and Katie went parasailing.. wow they had a great time

And would you believe, I was just on the boat to take pics.. and the Jamacian driver said “oh no man.. you must go too… I’m not really afraid I was like.. it’s tandem and the D/K already went, Danielle had no interest. So K is so excited.. please MOM – so I harnessed in and yep I did it too with K.

Great day. unfortunately the ship can’t go full speed like 23 NMH.. so we have to leave tonight instead of having another day on the island.

So we will be at sea Thurs, Friday now and Port in NYC on Saturday a.m.

Well took the kids quad riding again.  Please notice David started out with a white shirt.. he hasn’t gotten that going through puddles up to his knees are going to ruin his clothes.  Everyone had something to do today.  Kathy/Bob and I were able to get the kids to go up the mountain with an incredible view of the Olympics at the top.. kids had a fun jump course where they could practice their skills.  Now we are packing.. ugh.. for the kids to be gone till middle of August.  First we go to NYC, Don is meeting us there to show us around.  Rosie has put us in a nice hotel, dinner and Wicked is Thursday and Lion King is on Friday.  We board with uncle kelly and aunt bill with their two kids.. and we sail away to the south for 7days.  Kids then head to the cape with Uncle Michael and Uncle Timmy.  They are gone till August 14th.. Bob and Kathy and their girls fly out to the Cape for the first time and will bring them home for me.  Enjoy the pics.. peace
