Thank you for sharing. We live in California we were married in 2008 and are a part of the 18,000 legally married women awaiting the status on our marriage validity. We are 62 and 51. We have waited 22 years to have a legal status. We also have "our story" to add to the millions of discrimination stories of other disenfranchised "American Citizens" with no human or civil rights. I wept when I read your words! Your family has been in my thoughts and prayers since the day I heard your story - you are an inspiration to my partner and I! We will not forget!
